Michael Kimel is an entrepreneur with expertise in the fields of tech, hospitality and entertainment. As Chairman of Harlo Entertainment, Michael has spearheaded the growth and success of restaurants, event spaces, health and wellness and technology startups. Michael co-founded Grub Canada, Tab Payments and Fantasy Feud, which all saw successful exits early in his career. Most notably, Michael co-founded Chase Hospitality Group (CHG), a full service restaurant, catering and events company with locations in Toronto and Miami and holds partnerships with restaurants throughout North America. Michael has devoted himself to building countless companies and was recently awarded the 2017 Top 50 Most Influential People in Toronto. With plans to continue to scale his current companies nationwide, acquire new partnerships and expand into additional cities, Michael’s proven success makes him the ideal leader for entrepreneurial projects. Michael is an active philanthropist supporting many community programs at Baycrest, Sick Kids, and UJA, and recently co-founded The Tourney–a series of golf, hockey, and poker tournaments that benefit local charities.
Brandon Marek is currently the Managing Partner of Harlo Entertainment where he develops and scales proprietary concepts and makes strategic investments in an array of ventures. An effective lifestyle-brand builder and business operator, Brandon is now overseeing the rapid growth of SPINCO operations as it becomes Canada’s largest spin studio chain, co-creating MINDSET Brain Gym, the world’s first performance-driven meditation studio, and conceptualizing and bringing VVINES & MoneyBag Vodka to market. Brandon has also had a 15-year career in the hospitality and entertainment industry. As Managing Partner at Produkt, Brandon co-created the world-renowned New City Gas entertainment complex and oversaw the booking of thousands of live shows, festivals, and brand activations across North America. He has served as a consultant to Hakkasan Group in Las Vegas. Brandon proudly serves on the board for Barrie 2 Baycrest annual 100km bike ride and co-founded The Tourney.
